Workshop Format
The 2023 Scientific Ballooning Workshop will take place in-person. The workshop will be held on the days of May 17-19th, 2023, in Room 3-180 of Keller Hall on the University of Minnesota Twin Cities Campus, located at 200 Union St SE in Minneapolis, MN.
Virtual participation will not be included in this year's workshop.

Instructions for Oral Presenters
Oral presentations will be conducted from a central computer. Please upload your talk to this google drive 24 hours before your presentation.
The duration of your talk as publicly posted includes time for Q&A. Please do not exceed your allotted time. We have a very full program and session chairs have been instructed to maintain the program on time. The presentations will not be streamed.
As for previous workshops, all slides will be posted and stored on the workshop website and will become public after the workshop.
Instructions for Poster Presenters
Posters can be up to 3 feet x 4 feet in size. Clips and tacks will be provided to attach the posters to their poster-board backing.
Please hang the poster according to your poster number.
There will be 4 poster sessions. You will be given a small card, to be attached to your poster, on which you’ll indicate the times people should expect you by the poster.

Reception, Lunch, and Dinner
There is a reception in the atrium of the Physics and NanoTechnology Building on Thursday evening, 6 - 7:30 pm. Appetizers will be served, and a cash bar will be available. The cash bar accepts cash or credit cards.
There is a selection of restaurants on Washington Avenue, 5 minute walk from the conference venue, and in Dinkytown which is 10-15 walk away. Coffman Memorial Student Union also has a variety of lunch food available.

Workshop Code of Conduct
The organizers are committed to making this meeting productive and enjoyable for everyone, regardless of gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, nationality, religion, or age. We will not tolerate harassment of participants in any form. Please follow these guidelines:
Behave professionally. Harassment and sexist, racist, or exclusionary comments or jokes are not appropriate. Harassment includes sustained disruption of talks or other events, inappropriate physical contact, sexual attention, or innuendo, deliberate intimidation, and stalking. It also includes offensive comments related to gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, nationality, religion, or age.
All communication should be appropriate for a professional audience including people of many different backgrounds. Sexual language and imagery is not appropriate.
Be kind to others. Do not insult or put down other attendees.
Participants asked to stop any inappropriate behavior are expected to comply immediately. Attendees violating these rules may be asked to leave the event at the sole discretion of the organizers without a refund of any charge.
Any participant who wishes to report a violation of this policy is asked to speak, in confidence, to Laura Fissel (laura.fissel@queensu.ca).
